Update on Doctoral Students and Alumni


Doctoral Students

Lauren Parmelee Murphy, organized the ArtReach strand for Art Therapists and Art Educators who present therapeutc strategies at the Art Educators of New Jersey annual conference. The conference titled Art Sparks Genius included a variety of workshops. Murphy presented on facilitating client self understanding utilizing mandalas as models for organizational structure. 

 
Rachel Brandoff and Becky Fleetwood have been organizing the Expressive Therapies Summit in NYC. They, and other students are presenting as well! Their link is

Jill Wargolet had an article published in the AATA newsletter on "The Expressive Arts Studio: One Sketch of Art Therapy in a Medical Setting."

Olena Darewych presented at the 2010 Women's Mental Health Conference in Toronto, Canada on "The Use of the Creative Arts in Building Bridges with At Risk Orphans in the Ukraine."

Several students were at the recent AATA conference - I'm sure we will be posting their presentations soon.
